From February 2019, we, along with a large number of our fellow Association of Medical Research Charities members, will be collecting outcome and impact data for our funded research through Researchfish®, an online research impact assessment platform. This will give us a greater understanding of the impact of our funded research and will allow us to evaluate the progress made towards our strategic objectives. The data collected through Researchfish® will also allow us to communicate the work being done by our funded researchers more openly, consistently and effectively.
Current grant-holders and previous grant holders whose grant finished in the last 3 years will be invited to start reporting outcomes and impacts through Researchfish® in due course. For previous grant holders Researchfish® submission will be optional, but strongly encouraged.
For current grant holders, those more than 1 year into their grant will be required to provide a Researchfish® submission, whereas, those who are less than 1 year into their grant will not need to provide a Researchfish® submission until the 2020 round.
The next Researchfish® submission window will open on the 4 February, 2019 and close on the 14 March, 2019.
Our Grants team will be in touch with researchers later this year with more information on the submission process. For more information on how the Trust will use Researchfish® and how this affects grant holders please click here.
