Board changes

We said our farewells to Professor Alison Petch at our last Board meeting in June. Alison had been a Board Trustee since 2015 and took the Chair in 2020, just as we were starting to have to deal with the impact of COVID. But despite those challenges (or perhaps because of them…). we’ve achieved so much during the past four years , benefiting hugely from Alison’s steady hand on the tiller and her wisdom, experience and passion for evidence-informed change.

So with a vacancy at the head of the table, at our next Board meeting this month, we’ll be welcoming Professor Deborah Dunn-Walters back to the Board, this time as our new Chair. Deborah has previously served on the Board and as Chair of our Research Grants Committee and so is enormously well-placed to help steer us through our next phase. There’ll be a lot to do with the launch of our new strategic framework next spring and we look forward to sharing our plans with you during the coming months.

In the meantime, enormous thanks to Alison and welcome (back) Deborah!
