The Consortium objectives are to upskill researchers and technical professionals right from early career stages by exposure to new ways of thinking and environments, we:

  1. disseminate funding via competitions to support knowledge exchange and mobilisation
  2. deliver multi-level entrepreneurial and transdisciplinary skills training programmes
  3. create networking events that promote collaboration and knowledge exchange

The Consortium’s goal is to advance healthy ageing through innovation by encouraging collaboration between businesses and universities to co-create innovative solutions, whether in the form of products or services. You can find further details here.

Over the next two years, the UK Healthy Ageing Innovation Consortium will enhance research capacity by offering professional development training for early-career researchers, technical professionals, and academics. We will also fund approximately 40 national and international interdisciplinary projects and host networking events and workshops to foster innovation across disciplines.

Equity of opportunity will remain at the core of our work, reflected in our diverse membership and equitable funding distribution, in line with UKRI/HESA benchmarks.

Our next funding call will open in June / July 2025 , we will be hosting a range of workshop and Q&A sessions to help with funding applications.
