In November 2018, we partnered with Nesta to launch an innovation programme to support social movements seeking to bring about change in health and social care. We are excited to announce that we have now published our reflections on the programme as funders – we hope this will be useful for other funding organisations who are planning to support social movements in the future.
96% of older households live in mainstream housing, and most older people say they would like to remain in their home as they age. Despite this, there has been a critical lack of investment in research to measure the impacts of good-quality, accessible housing on older people.
Fostering relationships and links across generations can bring benefits to all. With matched funding from the National Lottery Community Fund #iwill campaign, the Dunhill Medical Trust is supporting projects that are establishing intergenerational links between young people and older people in care homes.
