ECR Masterclass: How to write a CV

This Masterclass is suitable for academics at all stages of their career, people wishing to move into academia or people considering moving from academia to different sectors/roles. The Masterclass will be interactive, with participants having the opportunity to ask questions and discuss points throughout. The session will be a maximum of 3 hours’ duration, which includes ‘stretch and refresh’ breaks when required.
The objectives of this Masterclass are to:
- Discuss the main sections of a CV
- How best to present yourself within the CV
- Tips on do’s and don’ts

Meet the speakers
Professor Margaret (Mags) Watson
Mags is the founder and Director of Watson Research and Training Limited. She has 30 years’ experience of academic research and has been a registered pharmacist for over 35 years. She is an internationally recognised and award-winning researcher with extensive experience of working across a range of sectors. She is a certified coach and mentor. In addition to running her consultancy business, Mags also holds Professorial positions with the University of Strathclyde and the University of Bath (honorary). She has a wealth of experience in terms of project development, delivery and evaluation, leadership and career development. Mags’ unique combination of research expertise and qualifications enables her to advise on and undertake research on a wide range of topics, to deliver bespoke training and to provide professional development services to individuals and organisations in academia, healthcare and other sectors.
