Registration now open for our 2023 Early Career Researcher event

We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming Early Career Researcher (ECR) event.

Join us in-person 10.30-16.30 on Tuesday 7th November 2023 at the Building Centre, Central London for a day of interactive sessions and the opportunity to network with your peers.

We’ll be running a mock Research Grants Committee meeting to give an insight into how research proposals are assessed, and how funding decisions are made. You’ll also hear from some of our grant holders on the keys to making multi-disciplinary research and collaborations a success. You can see the full agenda and register for the day on our Eventbrite page.

The event is free** and registration has been extended to Friday 6th October 2023. Given the overall capacity of the venue, priority will be given to Dunhill Medical Trust-funded ECRs, but we intend to make recordings of the event available on our website for those who are unable to attend.

As part of the registration process, we are also offering attendees the opportunity to nominate themselves for a poster presentation and/or a speaking slot in the ‘5-minute fellowships’ section of the agenda. We’ll be reviewing and selecting titles/abstracts for the ‘5-minute fellowships’ slot to ensure a diverse range of topic areas, career stages and speakers are represented. The deadline to submit a title and abstract for a poster/talk is also Friday 6th October 2023, and we’ll be in contact well ahead of the event to let you know if you have been selected for a poster or talk.

For more information and to register, please visit the Eventbrite page.

**We will also cover the costs of travel to the event for ECRs, where there is no other means to claim these back. If you have any questions about this, or the event in general, please email [email protected]
